NEW EQUIPMENT ADDITION

 The Police Department and the Town of Newington recently received a New Hampshire Highway Safety Grant for the purchase of a Speed Alert SZ Traffic Control Device. The radar device monitors and displays the speed of passing vehicles. The speed trailer is solar powered and includes an electronic display board which displays messages. The device has the capability to record, for statistical purposes, the speed, number, dates and times of passing vehicles. You will soon start seeing the trailer on the road sides in Town. Residents are encouraged to contact the Police Department to request specific placement of the trailer or to request its use during special events.
