Before retiring, Chief Loomis spent time with the students building a sense of respect for law enforcement as a whole. During Halloween, the police department receives a visit from the students. At the present, we do not have an officer assigned to the position of School Resource Officer.
During June 2007, Officer Michael Lalime, who has recently resigned from the department, conducted a bicycle safety day with the students at the Newington Elementary School. The students sent Officer Mike the following thank you note:
